What We Will Not Do
We don't chase jobs outside the area we actually know. Our calls run from Brushy Creek and North Buttercup Creek out through Anderson Mill, Twin Creeks, and Grandview Hills, and we don't stretch past that just to fill a schedule - a crew that drives an hour each way stops being useful to anyone. We also won't quote a full door replacement over the phone before we've looked at the track and the opening; too many of the doors out here just need a spring, a cable, or a new set of rollers, and telling you otherwise to sell a bigger job isn't how we operate.
Here's the honest limitation: if your opener's circuit board is fried and the manufacturer stopped making that model years ago, we're not going to pretend a part is coming next week when it isn't. Sometimes the straight answer is that the board isn't available and the opener needs to go.
We'd rather tell you that on the first visit than have you wait on a part that never ships. We don't sell doors we haven't actually installed, and we don't guess at a diagnosis before we've had a hand on the hardware.
The Work We Take On
Cedar Park and the neighborhoods around it - Brushy Creek, Anderson Mill, Twin Creeks, Milwood, Great Hills - were mostly built between 1980 and 2014, with a heavy concentration going up around 2002. That means a lot of the doors we get calls on are original builder-grade units: steel panels on torsion springs sized for a door that's now twenty-plus years old, openers with gears and boards from the same era. Springs rated for a few thousand cycles back then are well past that count now, and it shows up as a door that won't lift, or lifts crooked, or slams the last six inches.
We work on broken torsion and extension springs, worn cables, bent tracks, off-track panels, and openers that grind, stall, or stop responding. Central Texas runs a moderate heat band most of the year, and that heat is hard on the nylon gears inside older opener units and on the lubrication in springs that haven't been serviced.
We also handle new door and opener installs when a repair isn't worth it anymore - usually when the door itself is dented past alignment or the opener's parts are no longer made. We size the job to the house, not the other way around.
